How to Share Files

From About.com

There are several ways for you to share files with other people depending on your needs. If you want to share files with someone else who uses your computer or home network, you can put the files into your Public folder for everyone to access or you can choose to share files and folders with only certain users.

There are also several ways to share files with people who don't use your computer or home network. One simple way to share files with someone is to attach the files to an email. You can also share files with instant messaging programs like Windows Live Messenger.

Other ways you can share files with people who don't use your computer include setting up an ad hoc wireless network between two computers in the same room, copying the files onto a CD, DVD, or flash memory card\stick, using Windows Meeting Space, and online file sharing Web sites like Windows Live SkyDrive.
